Message from Manuela
Welcome! If you’re here, it’s because you’re seeking to enhance some aspect of yourself. While it’s hard to fully explain the transformative power of yoga without experiencing it, I can share that yoga has significantly alleviated my physical pains and injuries. Beyond the physical benefits, yoga has taught me to manage emotions, provided stability to my mind, and instilled discipline in my daily life. For me, yoga is truly an everyday medicine. My greatest wish is to help you experience and learn these transformative tools through my teachings.
What Manuela Keeps in Mind When She Leads 1-on-1 Yoga Practice
In my one-on-one yoga sessions, I prioritize a personalized approach that blends traditional Hatha Yoga with Iyengar techniques. Additionally, depending on your interest and needs, I can incorporate Brazilian movement methods that integrate animal movements, breath work, body expression, and elements of martial arts. This unique combination fosters a deep connection to your body through creativity, instinct, and playfulness. My goal is to tailor each session to your individual needs, helping you overcome physical challenges, achieve mental balance, and cultivate a disciplined and harmonious lifestyle through customized yoga practices.
About Manuela
My journey with yoga began at the age of five, attending meditation camps with my mother where we chanted mantras, played instruments, and danced in traditional Indian attire. From a young age, I have always loved moving my body through sports and dancing. However, it wasn’t until I attended my first Iyengar yoga class at 18 that I felt a profound and unique connection unlike any other physical activity I had experienced. During a pivotal time in my life—facing the end of a long-term relationship, contemplating a career change, and feeling lost—yoga provided me with the center and happiness I needed. This transformative experience led me to seek deeper knowledge by studying with my first Master in Brazil for two months, where I learned about postures, breathing, and concentration techniques, as well as the science and philosophy behind yoga. Later, during the pandemic, I completed a Teacher Training Course (TTC) in Rishikesh, India, in an Ashram, which was a life-changing process. Teaching yoga has been my passion, and the profound knowledge I gained from my Indian teachers has only strengthened my dedication to sharing the power of yoga with others.
